Tuesday Night Thoughts

Luckily the day is looking up considerably but here are a few things that have been on my mind, etc...

1. Seeing people I went to high school with...So being back in Seattle is giving me plenty of opportunities to see people from 5 years ago. It has happened to me twice this week already and both at school. One of the times, I made the mistake of approaching one of them, someone who was actually a friend, and go this "Oh...hi...I'm running really late, sorry!" Ouch! Oh well, if I really wanted to still be in contact I would. Coincidentally I have seen this same person again, but I did not repeat my mistake. And then today I saw someone else from H.S. Fear not, I kept my greeting to myself and was not recognized. I like to think it is because I am infinitely more beautiful than I was in high school, but I know better than that. I am probably still surprised at the novelty and everyone who went to UW for their undergrad has gotten over it.

2. For weeks, my mom and I have been bemoaning the big change in our favorite show, Gilmore Girls. But yesterday, the New York Times has corroborated our feelings (http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/07/arts/television/07heff.html?em&ex=1163048400&en=d0a14ba813e53ba3&ei=5087%0A). Even they agree that the show has changed big time since last year. The tone has changed, the stories have changed, the Luke/Lorelei situation is so messed up. The point of the first five seasons was to get them together and now the "new" team has ruined it all. And what about Lane? Suddenly she is pregnant and losing her character and hasn't even been on the show in weeks? What has happened to my GG?? Thank goodness I have seasons 1-5 to soothe my pain.

3. Interesting question to ponder: how is it that I put a plate in the microwave to heat up my dinner and it came out searing hot and the food was cold? It is almost reminiscent of the Borders burn that prompted me to quit my worst job ever (that I was coincidentally horrible at, just ask my mom).

Ok, enough for today.

Guess what? Neil Patrick Harris (a.k.a. the Doogster) is gay! It makes me appreciate his horny, 16-year-old boy act on 'Doogie' that much more.

Like any good people.com addict, I've known for days. I am going to go back and watch a couple episodes and check out your comment.
